Hippocratic Oath,The Original Oath...-why we forget these ideas?

In estonian newspaper was published interview with one doctor. There he ask ,why he must help peoles,who like sigaretts and who are drunk! Sure is he rigt to tell us,that we have responsible for our life,not only doctors. There are many comments after that interview. Because there were many aspects to think about...

For remaining I read Hippocratic Oath and find,that these ideas are dead. Oh,my God! They really are in todays practic like a fairytail! Is it possible ,that peoples one day began accept these again? :
